Candied Bacon Recipe

Candied Bacon. One of the strangest but most delicious combinations ever.

This is one of the simplest things to make ever and it is amazing. 30 minutes max.

Ingredients

Streaky bacon

Soft brown sugar

Method

Preheat oven at 160C.

Line a baking tray with tin foil. This will make it easier to clean your tray.

Rub in the sugar into the bacon on both sides all over and place on tray. Once you have coated the amount of bacon you would like place in the oven for 10 minutes.

After the 10 minutes take out and turn bacon. Return bacon to the oven for a further 10 minutes.

Cover a cooling rack with parchment paper.

Take out bacon and straight away move onto the parchment paper. If the sugar hardens and you are struggling to get the bacon off place into oven for a few minutes and this will soften the sugar.

Now you have candied bacon.

You could eat it, dip half in chocolate, put it in cupcakes or I would recommend having some alongside some pancakes.

I hope you enjoy and you may think that this will taste really strange but honestly it is so, so good.
